I was born by the sea.

She confirms my inner violence, confronts my restlessness. A fast darkness filled with tar and concealed jellyfish.
I fear her as much as I long for her.

I imagine to dissolve into the mass of water while I hide underneath her surface; I dig my face into the shore, let sand camouflage my skin as a soft coat. I tell them stories, secrets, worries— I don’t know if we share a language, but my body feels in place next to theirs.

This soft sculpture portrays memories of unfolding power dynamics and kinship, embedded in a coastal landscape.
